Join us on August 28 for Beyond the Silence — a free community event to raise awareness, support prevention efforts, and honor those affected by mental health or substance use challenges, overdose and/or suicide loss.
For the first time, we are expanding this event to include suicide awareness, acknowledging the deeply intertwined nature of mental health, substance use, and the risks of both overdose and suicide. The event is open to everyone — clients, families, friends, staff, professionals, recovery communities, and concerned community members.
What to Expect:
✔️ Inspiring guest speakers, including Dr. Monica Silva, Kane County Coroner
✔️ Powerful personal testimonies
✔️ Narcan training & distribution
✔️ 988 Lifeline awareness & materials
✔️ Candlelight Vigil & Memory Wall
✔️ Free recovery & grief resources
✔️ Opportunities to connect, reflect, and support each other
✔️ Tribute messages in our printed program (submit by Aug 15)
We’ll honor International Overdose Awareness Day (Aug 31) and look ahead to World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10) with compassion and unity.
