A proclamation will be presented at City Of Elgin City Council meeting declaring August 31st as International Overdose Awareness Day in the City of Elgin to acknowledge the impact overdose has on individuals, families, and in our community while highlighting the importance of awareness, recovery, and prevention.. It will be received by several community partners recognized for playing their part in increasing awareness, providing resources, support, prevention and treatment services.
