Event Schedule & Activities
2:00 PM – Overdose Response Training: A one-hour public training session focused on practical skills for recognizing and safely responding to an opioid overdose.
4:00 PM – Resource Fair & Naloxone Support: Informational tables opened on the front lawn alongside informal training on how to use naloxone (Narcan).
5:00 PM – Open Mic Session: Community members, families, and service providers gathered to share personal stories, read poetry, or play music to honour lost loved ones and address the grief of addiction.
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM – Community Refreshments: Free refreshments were supplied through donations from local businesses, including Rising Tide Co-op and Medicini.
7:30 PM – Candlelight Vigil: Attendees lit candles to remember individuals lost to substance use disorder.
