Join the Chelmsford Health Department for the Annual Candlelight Vigil, a meaningful community gathering dedicated to remembering those lost to overdose and supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use.
Held each year on the Chelmsford Center Town Common, this event brings residents together under the evening sky to honor lives lost, share messages of hope, and stand in solidarity with those on the path to recovery. Through reflection, remembrance, and community connection, the vigil seeks to reduce stigma and raise awareness about the ongoing impact of overdose.
The program includes welcoming remarks from local leaders, a keynote speaker, musical tributes, and a candle-lighting ceremony. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a reading of names, creating a powerful moment of remembrance and unity. All are welcome to attend this free event. Whether you have been personally affected or simply wish to show support, your presence helps strengthen our community and reinforces the message that no one is alone.
Together, we honor, we remember, and we bring light to the darkness of overdose through compassion, awareness, and hope.
