Butler County Opioid Overdose Coalition will host the 5th annual “Butler County Remembers” ceremony on International Overdose Awareness Day, Monday, August 31, 2026. The event will remember without stigma those who have died, acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind, and raise awareness of overdose. Family and friends are invited to attend with pictures of their loved ones and will be given an opportunity to speak about them and their lives during the 7:00 pm service at Grace Community Wellness Center, located at 123 W. Diamond St. The service will conclude with a candlelit awareness walk on Main St., for those who are able.
