The event will begin at 7pm with an informal ceremony to honor the lives of those lost to overdose in Butler County in 2024. Participants will have the opportunity to write a loved one’s name on the leaf of a painted tree. A few scheduled speakers will share their story and then the mic will be open to those in the audience who would like to speak about someone they lost. A walk will follow down Main St for those who are able, while those who choose not to walk can gather around the fountain at the Diamond and a short dedication service and closing will conclude the evening.
