Bristol Drugs Project (BDP) invites you to join us in commemorating International Overdose Awareness Day on August 30th, 2024.

This global event aims to raise awareness of overdose, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths, and acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends of those who have died or suffered permanent injury as a result of drug overdose. The theme for this year is ‘Together We Can’… Join us as we make collective and individual commitments to fight preventable death from overdose to honour those we have lost. We want to empower positive action and challenge the stigma around drug and alcohol use.

We will be hosting an event in Brunswick Square on Friday 30/08/2024 from 12pm – 3pm where we will have:

Hourly Naloxone Training – Learn how to use the opioid overdose reversal drug naloxone; one of the most powerful tools in preventing death from opioid overdose.

Interactive art installation – Make a pledge to fight preventable death by getting involved with our interactive art installation over the course of the day.

Performances from our choir of people affected by drug and alcohol use, Rising Voices.
